The political drama starring Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles and was based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru.

As the film is in news for its portrayal of Congress leader in different shades, the negative publicity benefited the film. However, the film could not sustain well at the box office as URI took the box office by storm. The political drama collected Rs 20.22 crore against a budget of Rs 25 crore.
