Spider Man No Way Home Becomes The Highest Grossing Spider Man Film Ever, Crosses 1 Billion Worldwide

Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 was one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film revolves around India's historic 1983 World Cup win. Ranveer Singh will be seen stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev. Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Phantom Films, Kabir Khan Films Production, 83 had opened to Rs 12.64 crore from 3741 screens nationwide which was below expectations, considering the massive budget of the film. There was a slight jump on Christmas day with Rs 16.95 crore but Sunday was decent with Rs 17.60 crore, bringing the first weekend collections to Rs around Rs 47.20 crore from 3741 screens including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The cricket biopic drama dropped on Monday to Rs 7.29 crore. As per early report, the cricket biopic drama dropped further on Tuesday, minting Rs 6.10-6.30 crore and bringing the 5 days total to around Rs 61 crore crore in Hindi. It will be a tough time for 83 as the budget is close to Rs 200 crore. The restrictions due to rising COVID-19 cases and limited occupancy had hampered its growth.

1st Week Box Office – Spider Man No Way Home And Pushpa Are Unstoppable

Thanks to the spellbinding trailer which brings back all the villains from the previous films right from Green Goblin and Dr Octopus, Spider Man No Way Home, minted a staggering Rs 148.07 crores in the 8-day extended first week followed by another solid Rs 26.85 crores in the Christmas weekend. The super hero drama held well on its second Monday, collecting Rs 4.45 crore while it held well on Tuesday somewhere between Rs 3.90-4 crore, bringing the 13 days total to an outstanding Rs 183-183.50 crore.

83 1st Day Box Office – Ranveer Singh Starrer Takes A Fair Start

Pushpa continues to roar at the box office with an outstanding Rs 26.95 crore in its first week in the Hindi version. The Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil starrer did well in its second weekend with Rs 10.35 crore while it held well on its first Monday with Rs 2.75 crore. As per early trade report, the action drama collected Rs 2.35 crore, bringing the 13 days total to a solid Rs 42.40 crore. The budget of Pushpa is Rs 180 crore and has been released in around 3000 screens across India.
