Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film revolves around India's historic 1983 World Cup win. Ranveer Singh will be seen stepping into the shoes of Kapil Dev. Also starring are Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi. Thanks to dynamic trailer which has fetched 50 million views within 24 hours, beating the previous record holders - Sooryavanshi and Zero, the cricket biopic drama had opened to the range 40-50% in the morning shows in the premium multiplexes of Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Kolkata and Bangalore, though the opening in the small centres have been low in the range of 20-30%. averaging the overall opening of 30% which is till good.
