Thanks to the spellbinding trailer of Spider Man No Way Home, which brings back all the villains from the previous films right from Green Goblin and Dr Octopus at the end, the advance booking for Spider man No Way Home had already kicked off at 8.30 PM on Sunday. Equipped with stellar reviews (currently it is sitting at 95% fresh rating in Rotten Tomatoes from 198 critics), Spider Man No Way Home had opened to 60-70% occupancy in the morning shows across India on Thursday and grew more in the evening and night shows, collecting Rs 32.67 crore on its first day from 3264 screens and easily beating the opening day figure of Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which collected a staggering Rs 26.29 crore and Avengers : Infinity War opening day which had collected Rs 31.30 crores from 2000 screens. With this collection, Spider Man No Way Home became the second-highest opening film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in India after Avengers: Endgame which had collected Rs 53.10 crores from 2845 screens in 2019.

As per the early trade estimates, the super hero drama went up again and minted Rs 28-30 crore on the Sunday day and brought the four days figure to Rs 109-110 crore.

Spider Man No Way Home also broke the box office record, collecting a massive $253 million at the US box office and $334.2 million in the overseas market, bringing the worldwide total to $587.2 million. With the US box office collection, Spider Man No Way Home is the third highest opening film of all time after Avengers End Game ($357.11 million) and Avengers: Infinity War ($257.69 million). It is also the highest opening Spider Man flick beating Spider-Man (2007) which collected $151.116 million).
