Spider Man : Homecoming, starring Tom Holland, re-booted the series after the The Amazing Spider-Man met with not-so-great response from the audience especially after the well-liked Sam Raimi directed films. Spider Man : Homecoming did very well when it got released in 2017 earning a staggering $880 million worldwide, including $334 million alone from US market. Spider-Man movies are very popular in India and Marvel has done a phenomenal job by featuring the Spider-Man characters in the other superheroes movies including The Avengers series.

Thanks to the spellbinding trailer of Spider Man No Way Home,  which brings back all the villains from the previous films right from Green Goblin and Dr Octopus at the end, the advance booking for Spider man No Way Home had already kicked off at 8.30 PM on Sunday. Equipped with stellar reviews (currently it is sitting at 95% fresh rating in Rotten Tomatoes from 198 critics), Spider Man No Way Home had opened to 60-70% occupancy in the morning shows across India on Thursday and grew more in the evening and night shows, collecting Rs 32.67 crore on its first day from 3264 screens and easily beating the opening day figure of Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which collected a staggering Rs 26.29 crore and Avengers : Infinity War opening day which had collected Rs 31.30 crores from 2000 screens. With this collection, Spider Man No Way Home became the second-highest opening film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in India after Avengers: Endgame  which had collected Rs 53.10 crores from 2845 screens in 2019.

The latest Spider-Man flick dropped to Rs 20.37 crore on day 2 due to the release of Allu Arvind’s much awaited Pushpa which collected a massive amount while day 3 was outstanding with Rs 26.10 crore. As per the early trade estimates, the super hero drama went up again and minted Rs 28-30 crore on the Sunday day and brought the four days figure to Rs 109-110 crore.

Spider Man No Way Home Advance Booking – Breaks The Record Even Before The Release

Spider Man No Way Home also broke the box office record, collecting a massive $253 million at the US box office and $334.2 million in the overseas market, bringing the worldwide total to $587.2 million. With the US box office collection, Spider Man No Way Home is the third highest opening film of all time after Avengers End Game ($357.11 million) and Avengers: Infinity War ($257.69 million). It is also the highest opening Spider Man flick beating Spider-Man (2007) which collected $151.116 million).

In the latest spider man flick, Peter Parker seeks help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to reverse the time to rectify everything. Unfortunately, as he goes back in time when nobody knew Spider-Man, he also gets introduces to the old villains and that is where he might also gets to meet previous Spider-Man characters played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
