Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria starrer Tadap showed steady growth in its second weekend at the box office across India.
Directed by Milan Luthria, who has made films like Kacche Dhaage, Taxi No. 9211, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture, Tadap catered to the young audience who gave thumbs up the romance drama performed well in its first week at the box office, collecting Rs 21.04 crore from 1656 screens.
Tadap faced competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui but still managed to collect Rs 1.03 crore on second Friday. There was a slight growth on second Saturday with Rs 1.23 crore while Sunday good with Rs 1.47 crore, bringing the overall total to Rs 24.60-24.80 at the box office which is amazing. The budget of romance-drama is Rs 30 Crores (Production cost: 20 Crores Advertising Cost : 10 Crores)
Tadap tells the story of Ishana (Ahan Shetty) who falls in love with a local politician-London-returned daughter, Ramisa (Tara Sutaria) and is produced by Sajid Nadiawala under the banner of Nadiawala Grandson Entertainment.
