From the director of Kai Po Che and Rock One, Abhishek Kapoor brought the fresh pair of Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in a love story, dance, drama and a twist. Thanks to the interesting trailer, solid lead actor, talented director and entertainment factor, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui opened on a decent note to Rs 3.75 crore. There was a slight growth on Saturday with Rs 4.87 crore. As per early estimates, the romantic drama collected somewhere between Rs 5-5.40 crore on Sunday, bringing the frst weekend total to Rs 14-14.10 crore which is a healthy sign and should work on the weekdays to put up a good 1st week collection as the word-of-mouth reviews is pretty good.
