Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer Antim did a good business while John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 could not make an impact at the box office in first weekend of release.

John Abraham and director Milap Zaveri re-wrote the history with Satyameva Jayate when it clashed with Akshay Kumar starrer Gold. While Gold went to earn Rs 107.35 crores, Satyameva Jayate became the highest grossing film of John Abraham as a solo hero, collecting a massive Rs 90.39 crore against the budget of Rs 45 crore.

While the trailer has been received well along with the good promotion, Satyameva Jayate 2 has released one day before to avoid the actual clash with Salman Khan starrer Antim. Satyameva Jayate 2 could collect only Rs 3.60 crore which is extremely low. On the second day, the action drama went down to collect Rs 2.10 crore while Saturday and Sunday saw limited growth of Rs 2.20 crore and Rs 2.55 crore, bringing the four days days total to Rs 10.45-10.60 crore. The budget of action drama is Rs 60 crore and has been released in 2500 screens across India. Satyameva Jayate 2 is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and will also stars Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai, Anup Soni and Sahil Vaid in pivotal roles.
Salman Khan is back to cinema with Antim after his last big release, Dabanng 3, 2019. He is joined by his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, who is also planning to come back after his debut film, Love Yatri. The trailer of Antim got a very good response from Salman Khan’s faithful fans who are dying to see their favorite star on silver screen. The Mahesh Manjrekar directed film faced a big competition in form of Satyameva Jayate 2 but that did not impact the first day collections as it went on to collect Rs 4.75 crore.
The collection went slightly up on Saturday with Rs 5.24 crore. As per early trade estimates, Antim collected somewhere between Rs 7-7.40 crore on Sunday from 3200 screens across India, bringing the 3 days total to Rs 18-18.25 crore. The budget of Antim is Rs 45 crore and is produced by Salman Khan under his banner of Salman Khan Films in association with Zee Studios.
