The Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sharvari Wagh and Pankaj Tripathi starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2 opened on a slow note in the morning shows across India.
The sequel, Bunty Aur Babli 2 which is directed by Varun V Sharma, has the lovable jodi of Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan along with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sharvari Wagh and Pankaj Tripathi. It is a battle royal in Bunty Aur Babli 2 as the old con-couple Bunty Babli, played by Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji battle it out with the new con-couple, Siddhant Chaturvedi and big-screen debutant Sharvari, for supremacy! The rib-tickling comedy looks to be an out-and-out family entertainer that will pit the con-stars, from different generations, against each other as they show their mastery over disguises to outwit each other and pull off outlandish cons!
Now that Sooryavanshi has given Bollywood hope at the box office after its encouraging start at the box office, the YRF films releasing tomorrow has some advantages to make it click at the box office – the lovable jodi of Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan who has stolen our hearts with wonderful performances with Hum Tum and Ta Ra Rum Pum, the current comedy sensation Pankaj Tripathi along with being the sequel to a hit franchise backed by high production values. However, unlike Bunty Aur Babli which had mind-blowing music composed by the dynamic Shankar-Eshaan-Loy and beautiful lyrics written by Gulzar, the sequel is devoid of any hit songs.
Considering the above aspect and current COVID-19 situation, Bunty Aur Babli 2 opened on a slow with 10-15% occupancy in the morning shows though the word-of-mouth reviews is decent. The result is better in North India due to Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday. The comedy drama is being released in 2500 screens across India and 800 screens in the overseas market
