14th Edition of IPL has brought more endorsement than previous season and actors including Shahrukh khan and Ranveer Kapoor are leading the figures.
Millions of Indians stick to their television sets every year during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season. This in turn makes it the best time for advertisers to promote their products. According to TAM Sports, a division of TAM Media Research, there has been a significant increase in celebrity-led support during the recently concluded 14th edition of the IPL.
According to the report, during the 60 matches of season 14, the number of advertisements supported by celebrities increased by 19 percent compared to the previous season. This year, celebrity-led commercials on TV recorded a 57 per cent share during the IPL season, compared to 48 per cent in IPL 13.
In 2020, the epidemic and subsequent lockdowns led to a decline in celebrity-led support on TV. However, the number of celebrities appearing in IPL 14 commercials this year has increased by 31 per cent as compared to IPL 13.

When it comes to the highest visibility in brand endorsements during IPL 14, the film actors took the lead. Actor Ranveer Singh topped the charts as the most visible celebrity during IPL 14 with 11 per cent advertising share.
Shah Rukh Khan and Jim Sarb were also the two most visible celebrities during IPL 14 with seven per cent and four per cent share in advertisements respectively. Aamir Khan, who was second with nine per cent stake in IPL 13, was not among the top five most visible celebrities in IPL 14.
