School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced the 14 days of diwali holiday to the students from the Classes 1 to 12.

The Minister also said that the Classes from 5 to 12 in rural areas, and Classes 8 to 12 in urban areas.
So, on the occasion of the Diwali festival, the School Minister had taken some decision regarding to the school diwali holiday.
Diwali holiday has been declared for all pre-primary to higher secondary schools affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has announced a total of 14 days off from October 28 to November 10.
Varsha Gaikwad has also clarified that online teaching started by schools will also be closed during this period. She also wished students, parents and teachers a Happy Diwali.

Schools in rural and urban areas of the state have started offline format from October 4, 2021 in the wake of the corona outbreak.
Holidays are being declared for schools of class I to XII in the Maharashtra state for various religious festivals.
Accordingly, in the academic year 2021-22, in connection with Diwali, schools in the state are being declared holidays from 28 October 2021 to 10 November 2021.
During this period, the online and offline teaching activities conducted by the schools will also be closed, said the School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.
