Kerla News: Wins the Award for the most sustainable transportation system, due to the Kochi Metro, Water Metro and e-mobility.

Kerala won the award for the 'City with the most sustainable transportation system.'
State Transport Minister Antony Raju said- "The award will be presented on October 29 in Delhi. The award has given in the recognition of the projects that are implement in the Kerala which includes the Kochi metro, water metro and e-mobility which increase the transport facility in the Kochi."
The award is expected to propel the development of the city as more international firms in the automobile sector, especially those based on green energy, may give focus to Kochi.
The formation of the Kochi open the mobility networks which digitised and integrated various transport facilities, also helped to win the award.
Kochi Metro Rail Ltd managing director Loknath Behara told- "The Times of India that inland navigation in the city, which is on the cards, would also add to the integrated and sustainable navigation system."
The award is given in recognition of the transport facilities in various states and Union Territories of India. And presented in Delhi by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri.
