Ayushmann Khurrana’s acting and singing was commendable and was appreciated by many for choosing a unique subject to begin his journey into films.

Sharat Katariya directed Dum Laga Ke Haisha was based on theme which was simple yet noble, set in the mid-90’s with background of beautiful city of Haridwar about simple, ordinary and middle-class business family which will remind of classic movies made by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee. Ayushmann Khurrana did a fabulous job as a push-over, introvert, loyal son who marries a heavier woman but finally wins a competition for her . He does a good comeback after series of flops. The film also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi
3. Bareily Ki Barfi (2017)

Ashwin Iyer directed Bareily Ki Barfi, released in 2017, might be remind you of 90’s love-triangle films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It was the performance by the entire star cast and hilarious dialogues which will keep you at bay. The chemistry between Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao brought down the entire house with their brilliant dialogue delivery and electrifying performances. The romantic drama was a sleeper hit of the year and crossed the Rs 30 crores milestone against a budget of Rs 20 crores.
4. Shubh Mangal Savdhaan (2017)
AndhaDhun tells the story of a blind musician played by Ayushmann Khurrana who gets the opportunity to play for a wedding anniversary at a famous Bollywood’s celebrity house. All hell break loose, when a murder takes place at the premises and he is the only witness to the event. If you have liked Ayushmann Khurrana as a lover boy in his previous film, you will enjoy his performance as a blind musician whom you can relate to as an innocent guy who struggles to get out of rabbit hole.
6. Gulabo Sitabo (2020)
Ayushmann Khurrana impressed the audience as a struggling tenant, Bankay, in this light heart-ed comedy flick, Gulabo Sitabo, directed by Shoojit Sircar. Sharing the screen space with a titan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana does a fine job as Baankey who exudes confidence with his dialogues and expressions.
