Bareily Ki Barfi tells the story of care-free Bitti (Kriti Sanon) whose life changes after she reads about character in a book "Bareily Ki Barfi" who is similar to her in real life. Smitten by the author of the book, she takes help from local Press Owner (Ayuuhsman Khurrana) to track down the author.

After directing the sparkling film, Nil Battey Sannata, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari divulges into a love story with a predictable yet satisfying ending. Bareily Ki Barfi might remind you of 90's love-triangle films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam but the it is the performance by the entire star cast and hilarious dialogues which will keep you at bay. First half takes time to build up but once Rajkummar Rao enters the scene, there is not turning back. The supremely talented actor will bring down the house with his brilliant portray of Pritam.
Screenplay does falter and editing could be better with few scenes trimmed from the reel. Art direction is nice while Cinematography manages to capture the essence of Bareily town. Kriti Sanon and Ayushman Khurrana were amazing in their respective roles while Pankaj Tripathi as Bitti's father and Seema Bhargava as Bitti's mother are superb.
