Directed by Ranjit M. Tewari and written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, Bell Bottom was announced last year but the casting was not finalized. After it was confirmed that Huma Qureshi join the film who will be playing a key role in the 80s period film, which has been inspired by true events, Vaani Kapoor joined the star cast. The makers announced few days back that Bell Bottom will hit the theaters on 26th July, the COVID-19 cases showed a spike and the release date was again kept on hold.

As the Maharasthra health minister announced on 26th July that few cinemas will open in the places where the number of cases are less. Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce the great news :-
