Zhang Ruonan and Bai Jingting have had fans talking since the release of their hit C-drama The First Frost. The series not only earned strong reviews for its story, but also for the chemistry between its lead pair. And now, a quietly deleted photo from Zhang’s Weibo has reignited talk that their connection may have gone off-screen too.
Recently, Zhang posted a casual photoset of herself wearing a blue T-shirt with the label “GOODBAI.”
Fans were quick to connect the dots: GOODBAI is actually a clothing brand owned by Bai Jingting. He’d been seen wearing a similar tee in a past video where he and Zhang played piano together, adding fuel to earlier relationship rumours.
What made things even more suspicious? The shirt Zhang wore looked oversized—more like something borrowed than owned. That small detail was enough for many online to speculate that she may have been wearing Bai’s actual shirt.
But the post didn’t stay up for long. Zhang deleted it shortly after, which only drew more attention to it. On the internet, nothing ever really disappears especially when it involves two actors fans are already rooting for.
In The First Frost, Zhang plays a news reporter who unexpectedly reconnects with her old flame played by Bai after both accidentally rent the same apartment.
The series was dubbed the “Hottest Youth Idol C-Drama” of 2025 and quickly built a dedicated fanbase.
Since the drama aired, many fans have hoped the on-screen spark between Zhang and Bai had real-world roots. The deleted photo just gave them more to talk about.
Neither Zhang nor Bai has commented on the dating rumours. Both actors have stayed quiet on social media since the post was taken down.
