Wife Seeks Divorce After the Husband Failed to Get a Kurkure Packet

 A woman in Agra sought divorce from her husband after he failed to get her a packet of Kurkure. This trivial matter eventually led to their divorce.

According to reports, recently a young woman from Agra, Uttar Pradesh sought divorce from her husband because he did not get a packet of Kurkure for her.

The woman had an unusual habit of eating Kurkure everyday and would ask her husband get a Rs. 5 packet daily for her. One day, her husband forgot to get it for her, which led to an argument between the two eventually resulting in a divorce. Angry at being denied her daily indulgence, the woman left her marital home and went to her parents’ house. She even went to the police seeking for a divorce from her husband. 

The couple got married last year, and everything was going well in the initial months. But, as months passed by, the husband became worried about her wife’s addiction as she asked him to get junk food every day. The couple was even sent for counselling by the Shahganj Police in Agra to sort out their issues.

Even though the reports suggest that wife sought divorce over a trivial matter, the wife has allegedly said that her husband was physically abusive with her.
