US President Donald Trump has threatened to file lawsuits against the authors & media outlets that deepnd on anonymous sources. This threat followed the release of a controversial tell-all book named 'All Or Nothing' by journalist Michael Wolff, which has caused major uproar within Trump's circle.
The President shared his views on Truth Social, & he stated that after what he described as his "wildly successful first month back in power," "Fake books and stories" featuring anonymous sources are emerging. He continued further, "at some point, I am going to sue some of these dishonest authors & book publishers" to uncover whether these sources exist, "which they largely do not."
"They are made up, defamatory fiction, and a big price should be paid for this blatant dishonesty. I'll do it as a service to our Country. Who knows, maybe we will create some NICE NEW LAW!!!," he said furthemore.
In the journey of his long career, President Trump has made lawsuits a central part of his persona, from his rise as a New York real estate mogul to his 2 terms in the White House. Now, he is targeting the large and wide use of some unnamed sources in books & news reports. In the meantime, an independent coalition of American media organizations covering the White House has discreetly looked into this issue.
The Trump administration has many a times clashed with the media, as the president pursues a hard-right agenda that includes cracking down on immigration and reducing the size of the federal government, all while relying on billionaire Elon Musk, an inspirational adviser with a very significant role in Trump's busy 2nd term.
