Trump Promises to Reclaim Universities from Radical Left Ideology

US President-elect Donald Trump declared on Tuesday that it's high time to take back America's educational institutions from the influence of the radical Left, saying that the accreditation system will play a key role in this effort.

Trump elaborated that upon taking office on January 20 next year, he will dismiss "radical Left" accreditors who have allowed colleges to be overtaken by "Marxists, extremists, and radicals." In a statement lasting over 2 minutes, which was also shared by SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Trump accused academic institutions of focusing more on indoctrinating youths than on providing quality education, all while tuition fees continue to rise.

The Republican leader outlined plans for his administration to appoint new accreditors who will implement meaningful standards, including "defending American traditions and Western civilization, safeguarding free speech, eliminating wasteful administrative positions that inflate costs, removing Marxist diversity, equity, and inclusion bureaucrats, offering affordable and accelerated degree options, providing solid job placement and career services, and instituting college entrance and leave exams to ensure that the students are genuinely learning."

These remarks came many months after intense pro-Palestine protests disrupted campuses across the US, including at Harvard, New York University, Yale, Emerson College, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
