Donald Trump's key envoy, Steve Witkoff, has provided a rare insight into the unique bond between the US President & his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
Witkoff opened up that Putin prayed for Trump's well-being after the assassination attempt during a campaign rally last summer. This act not only showcased Putin's worry but also emphasized the bond between the two leaders.
Witkoff shared this story during an appearance on former Fox News host Tucker Carlson's podcast, remembering his second meeting with Putin. According to Witkoff, the Russian president visited his local church, met with his priest, & kindly prayed for Trump's recovery.
"When the president was shot, he went to his local church and met with his priest and prayed for the president," Witkoff said about Putin.
Putin "had a friendship with him and he was praying for his friend," he stated. He said that when he told the same to Trump, he was "clearly touched."
