Passengers aboard the Jabalpur-Mumbai Garib Rath Express were left stunned and panicked after spotting a snake coiled near an upper berth in the train’s air-conditioned coach. The incident, which occurred in coach number G17, quickly went viral after a video was shared on social media.

The chilling video shows the snake wrapped around the side support that helps passengers move between the upper and lower berths. As the video unfolds, the snake is seen attempting to enter the train’s AC vent, leading to panic among passengers. Some attempted to calm the situation by throwing blankets at the snake, but the reptile remained elusive.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a journalist, who reported, “Snake in train! Snake in AC G17 coach of 12187 Jabalpur-Mumbai Garib Rath Express train. Passengers sent to another coach and G17 locked.”

In a follow-up post, the journalist added that the snake likely entered the train from a nearby tree when the train made a stop near Kasara railway station in Maharashtra.

 The presence of the snake created such a stir that the affected coach was detached from the train after the reptile slithered into the AC panel, preventing further attempts to catch it.

The viral video has garnered over 25 million views, with many users sharing their shock at the bizarre event. One social media user commented, “What a strange incident. It can only happen in India.” Another user suggested the snake might have entered through a passenger's bag while boarding at a platform.

Fortunately, no passengers were harmed, and those in coach G17 were promptly shifted to another compartment.
