In a shocking incident in Kuchaman City, Rajasthan, a shopkeeper was thrashed by a group of college students after allegedly harassing one of their friends. A video showing the girls beating and parading the accused through the streets has gone viral on social media.
The incident occurred when a girl visited the shop, located near the Sikar Road bus stand, to recharge her mobile phone. The shopkeeper, who is an e-Mitra operator, reportedly demanded that the girl say "I love you" before he would proceed with the recharge. Shocked and upset, the girl informed her college friends, who then decided to confront the shopkeeper.
In the viral video, the group of girls can be seen catching the shopkeeper after he attempted to flee and then bringing him back to his shop. They kept him there until the police arrived. Local residents also joined in, encouraging the girls to confront the shopkeeper further. The police have taken the accused into custody and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Although the girl has not formally filed a complaint, police are investigating allegations that the shopkeeper not only made inappropriate demands but also grabbed her hand and used obscene language.
