A cycling adventure through India’s Leh region took a horrific turn for Korean YouTuber Lerrico, who was abducted and drugged by locals posing as Good Samaritans. Lerrico, who was cycling 450 kilometers to reach Leh, accepted a ride from a group of locals after days of exhausting travel.

However, he soon found himself far off course, held captive, and threatened with sticks.

Lerrico: “They made me take the drug twice. The first time, I pretended to take it and hid it in my hand, but 30 to 40 minutes later, they gave me another drug. This time, they watched me swallow it, so I had no choice but to take it. After taking the drug, I was out of it for 5 to 6 hours.

The kidnappers forced Lerrico to take an unknown drug twice, leaving him disoriented for hours. Despite the ordeal, Lerrico managed to contact a friend who alerted authorities. After 30 hours of captivity, he was finally released, though not without losing a significant amount of money.

Initially, local police were slow to respond due to jurisdictional issues, but after further pressure, the kidnappers were apprehended. They initially denied the charges but later confessed under intense interrogation, alleging police abuse during questioning.

Lerrico: The kidnappers were on their knees begging for an hour and a half and were severely beaten by the police. The police even said, ‘These poor guys, can’t you just let it go this once?’ and continued to hit them.

Lerrico’s story has gone viral, raising concerns about the safety of travelers in the region and sparking outrage online.
