The video took an unexpected turn when Kumar suddenly sat up and began laughing, catching bystanders off guard. Stunned onlookers, who believed they were witnessing a tragic scene, realized they had fallen for an elaborate prank. Shortly after, authorities were notified about the incident.

Kumar was arrested by local police for causing public disturbance and mischief. The video was shared on social media platform X, where it was captioned, "In #UttarPradesh's Kasganj district, a young man pretended to die by lying down in the middle of a busy intersection. The police have arrested the 'reel star' Mukesh Kumar."

Additional Superintendent of Police Shri Rajesh Bharti confirmed the incident, stating, "The man made a video lying on the road and creating shock. Taking cognizance of this, we have arrested Mukesh Kumar, and necessary action will follow."

The stunt has drawn widespread criticism online, with social media users condemning Kumar's insensitive behavior and calling out his reckless pursuit of online fame. Many pointed out the dangers of such attention-seeking acts, emphasizing how social media obsession can lead to harmful behavior.
