Indonesian Woman’s “Sick Leave” Trip to Bali Turns into Awkward Encounter with Boss

An Indonesian woman, Grace, shared her "worst nightmare" on TikTok after bumping into her boss at the airport while on sick leave. The 23-year-old, working in the US, had claimed a doctor's appointment and flew to her hometown in Bali. Her manager approved the leave, unaware they'd end up on the same flight. 

As she queued to board, she heard her boss sarcastically ask, “Is this the hospital?” Despite the awkward moment, they laughed it off. Grace’s viral video, featuring selfies before and after the encounter, has garnered nearly 900,000 views on TikTok. Comments ranged from resignation jokes to shared similar experiences.
