NEW DELHI: A man’s profound disappointment has captured widespread attention online. In a viral Reddit post, he shared photos of his cherished cars—an Audi A6, a Ford EcoSport, and a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz—all submerged in the Gujarat floods. Among these, the Audi A6, valued at over ₹50 lakh, was particularly lost. The man expressed his grief with the caption, "There’s nothing left to live for anymore... All three cars listed in my flair are now destroyed."
The relentless rains in Gujarat have plunged cities like Vadodara into turmoil, leading to severe waterlogging and the evacuation of over 18,000 people. This particular account of loss amidst the widespread devastation has caught attention, illustrating the severe impact of the floods on one Vadodara resident who lost all three of his treasured vehicles.
The images displayed the heartbreaking scene—his formerly pristine cars now helplessly stranded in floodwaters. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time he had encountered such a disaster. In the comments, the resident mentioned that his new home, which he moved into four years ago, was just the latest in a series of flood-prone locations. In fact, this was the third occasion his vehicles had been victims of severe rainfall.
“There’s 7-8 feet of water outside my house; no one can come to tow the cars,” he noted, adding that the floodwaters had already penetrated nearly 7 inches into his home. “This entire area, and the city as a whole, is submerged.”
