You read the headline right, our nation’s heartthrob everyone’s beloved Rishi Kapoor’s last film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ will be releasing in theatres on his birthday, which is on September 4. In tribute to his fans and of course to him, so what can be more special than his birthday, a perfect decision.
As the veteran actor left the nation heartbroken by leaving for his heavenly abode amidst lockdown on April 30, after battling cancer for almost 2 years. He died before he could complete the whole movie, so now it has been said that actor Paresh Rawal will be filming its rest of the portions and wrap up the shoot soon.

And earlier, in an interview with Mid-Day Producer Honey Trehan had revealed that the film will be completed using advanced VFX technology. He was quoted as saying, “We will be using advanced technology, an amalgamation of VFX and some special technique, to finish the film without compromising on the quality.”
Sharmaji Namkeen is directed by a debutant Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar in association with MacGuffin Pictures. Ending note on, it is said to be the makers will soon resume the shoot and wrap it soon to release the film in this year itself.
