After surviving the new ball against the Aussie pacers, Rohit Sharma gives a good start to the Indian innings but gives away his wicket yet again. The 33-year-old joined the Indian team in the third Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Indian vice-captain played three innings as an opener in Australia and scored 25+ in all the three innings with one half-century but couldn’t convert into a big score. After scoring a controlled 44 earlier today, the right-handed batsman danced down the track to smash a six at long-on but ended up mistiming the short and lost his wicket after a confident start.
India’s legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar also showed disregard towards Rohit’s shot and called it “irresponsible”. The Indian opener’s scores in the on-going bilateral series so far has been 26, 50 & 44. In all three innings, Rohit got off to a good start but got out while playing a lofted shot.
