Superstar Yash, who previously confirmed his pivotal role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, is all set to join the film’s shoot in March. Not just an actor, Yash is also co-producing the magnum opus, ensuring his creative influence extends beyond just his performance.

As per the sources of a leading publication, they reveal that Yash was introduced to Ramayana by Namit Malhotra while discussing other projects, eventually leading to his deep involvement in the film. Interestingly, he became the first lead actor to officially announce his role, even as speculations continue around Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s participation.

However, with Yash’s confirmation and his dual role as an actor-producer, Ramayana has become one of the most highly anticipated films in recent times. His involvement promises to bring both star power and creative depth to this grand retelling of the epic. Recently, in a candid interview with a leading media house, Yash discussed the future of the KGF franchise and confirmed his role in the upcoming epic film Ramayana. Yash said, “If the character is treated like a character… if this doesn’t happen today, then the film won’t happen. To make a film with that kind of budget, you need those kinds of actors to come together." He further stated that he was drawn to the role of Ravana due to the character’s complexity and depth, describing it as “the most exciting character" he has been offered in his career.

Ramayana will also feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with pre-production already in full swing.
