Tauba Tauba Singer Pauses His London Concert
Singer Karan Aujla, currently on tour in the UK, recently had to stop his show in London after someone threw a shoe at him. Videos and photos from the incident at the O2 Arena have since circulated on social media. As Karan performed, a shoe was thrown from the audience, hitting him and landing nearby. Pausing the show, he addressed the crowd, saying, "Hold on! Who was that? I’m telling you to come up on stage. Let’s go one-on-one right now. I know how to fight. Don’t throw your shoes in shame. Was it you? What are you trying to do? Come on, please. I don’t want any trouble. Be respectful."
He added, "I’m not singing so badly that you need to throw shoes at me. If anyone has an issue with me, come directly to the stage and talk... because I’m not saying anything wrong." Another video later showed the person who threw the shoe being escorted out by security.

Fans reacted to the incident, with one commenting, "Handled well without causing offense." A tweet read, "Someone threw a shoe at Karan Aujla in London’s O2 Arena. They’re lucky he finished the show. He once refused to perform at Rock in Rio, one of the world’s biggest festivals, and this person paid him back by throwing a shoe. So sad."
Another person clarified, "I just want to explain—the guy who threw the shoe at Karan Aujla only wanted him to sign it. That’s why he threw it. So please don’t spread fake news. But that’s not the way to get an autograph from any artist; you can’t do that." A witness at the concert tweeted, "I was there. It wasn’t scripted. The guy who threw the shoe was kicked out."
