Not onions but this time tomato prices have raised up to a whopping price of Rs 100 per kg in several states. The situation was affected due to the sudden heavy rains and faced a decrease in the supply of fruit. 

The Southern states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are the key suppliers of tomatoes which are affected by floods, and heavy rains and this reduced the availability of the same in the market.

Also, as market experts say, the price may increase further and how much the situation might be scary people find a way to take it joyfully.
