Stree 2 has surpassed Jawan
Maddock Films, one of the production companies behind Stree 2, has officially announced that the film is now the "number one Hindi film of all time" in India. On Wednesday, the production house took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a poster celebrating the achievement and posted a message. The film has surpassed the lifetime earnings of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (Hindi version only). The poster displayed the message: "Indian box office's no. 1 Hindi film of all time!"
In the caption, they wrote, "Woh Stree hai aur usne aakhir kar dikhaya... Hindustan ki sab se sarvashresth (She is Stree, and she has finally done it... India’s best film). No. 1 Hindi film of all time!!!" They continued, "Yeh itihaas humare saath rachane ke liye sab fans ko bahut bahut dhanyavaad (Many thanks to all the fans for making history with us)... Stree 2 is still running successfully in theaters... Come to the cinemas, let’s set some more new records!"
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 has amassed ₹586 crore at the Indian box office. He confirmed this milestone on his X account, writing, "#Stree2 makes HISTORY... Becomes the HIGHEST-GROSSING HINDI FILM EVER... Surpasses the lifetime business of #Jawan [#Hindi version]... Meanwhile, according to Sacnilk.com, the total nett collection for Jawan in India, across all languages (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu), stands at ₹640.25 crore, while its lifetime collection in Hindi is ₹582.31 crore.
