Shikhar Dhawan's Divorce With Wife Ayesha Mukherji Finalised By Delhi Family Court On Grounds Of Cruelty By Wife!

On Wednesday, October 4, A family court in Delhi granted divorce to out-of-favour India batter Shikhar Dhawan from his estranged wife Ayesha Mukherji. 

Shikar Dhawan got the divorce on the ground of being a victim of mental trauma and suffering. While announcing the verdict, Judge Harish Kumar in the famil cort in the Patiala House in Delhi acknowledged that the 37 years old batter endured me4ntal grief after Ayesha did'nt lket him be with his son Zoravar for years. In the judgement, the honourable court specified that Ayesha either failed to produce plausible evidence in response to the allegations made against her or didn't challenge any of those. 

While, filing for divorce, Shikhar in his divorce petition had stated that his wife Ayesha had made a victim of mental cruely. 

Dhawan has not been granted permanent custody of their  son:

Notably, Family court in Delhi didn't make any jugement specifying the permanent custody of their son Zorawar who is currently living in Australia with his mother Ayesha Mukherji. The court however, has granted Shikar the right to visit his son for reasonable period in Australia and in India. And he is allowed to converse with his son over video calls. 

Along with it, court has also issued an order to Ayesha Mukherji to bring the child to India for visiting his father Shikhar and his family. Which also included the rights of overnight stay with Shikhar and his family members for atleast half the periods of school holidays during the academic calender. It also stated that Shikhar Dhawan is a reputed international cricketer and he also witholds the right as citizen and as a responsible father. 

Shikar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukerji got married in October 2012, This is Ayesha's second marriage and she has two daughters from her first marriage. In 2021, Ayesha took to her social media handle to announce about getting a divorce from cricketer Shikar Dhawan.
