Shahid Kapoor Revealed That His Wife Mira Rajput Convinced Him For Doing Kabir Singh Movie!

Shahid Kapoor's one of the most successful movie Kabir Singh was released in thatres on  2019 and it became a blockbuster movie of the year. Kabir Singh became Shahid's biggest hit of his career, where on the other hand, movie did exceptionally well in the box-office, but it was heavily critisized by the critics and netizens for its misogynist represntation. Recently, Shahid Kapoor revealed that initially he was hesitating to do the movie, later his wife Mira Rajput convinced him to take up the movie. 

Shahid's reaction on being offered Kabir Singh:

Sandeep Reddy Vanga helmed Kabir Singh movie made headlines when it was released., Recently Shahid got into candid chat with Pinkvilla where he talk about his initial reaction on being offered Kabir Singh and how Mira Rajput convinced him in doing the movie. He said, "My first answer was 'no way am I doing this movie.' Because this guy is a newcomer and he has done such a good job. What happens is when you see somebody for the first time on camera, whatever whoever they are, their personality blends into the character they're playing. Because you don't know them personally. So the way you accept them is like total. Because it's the first time you viewed them, loved them and everything about them is great because they haven't made their mistakes yet. But then you discover they're not perfect, they make terrible movies. Then they have to go and do a really good movie for you to say 'now I know why I like this guy'... And I finished my whole gyaan (knowledge), saying that 'this is my reason, Mira. Mujhe ye film nahi karni chahiye. (I shouldn't do this film) 

He further talked about how Mira Rajput responded, he said,"She just kept looking at me and after 5 minutes she was like 'just shut up and do it. It's the perfect film for you'. I was like 'really?', she was like 'Yeah. People love to see you in love stories, people love to see you in messed-up characters. This has both! Just do it!' Her thinking was so simple and I had overcomplicated it for myself and I guess it was good I did Kabir Singh." 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga helmed Kabir Singh was the Hindi Remake of south super-hit movie Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Devrakonda and Shalini Pandey. The Hindi remake movie starred Shahid Kapoor alongside Kiara Advani and the film collected Rs 250 crore in box-office. Shahid was last seen in web-series Bloody Dady and Farzi for which he has received praises from audience. He will soon make a comeback onscreen with a comedy-romantic movie with Kriti Sanon.
