Karan Johar's directorial debut, iconic fan favorite movie "Kuck Kuch Hota Hai" has completed 25 years. On the special occassion of completeing 25 years in the industry Karan held a special screening of the film for the audience in Mumbai. Along with Karan Johar the event was attended by the lead of the movie, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee. During the event, Shah Rukh talked about the importance of the movie in their lives. And shared about the bond he shares with Karan and he also talked about doing love story movies further in future and said he leaves those for youngsters. Kajol Mukherjee aka Anjali couldn't attend the special screening of the movie.
Shah Rukh Khan About Kuch Kuch Hota Hai:
During the event, Shah Rukh Khan shared about the importance the movie hold in their lives, he said, "“Is film ka humare liye bahut hi important makaam hai humari zindagi mein, humare dilo mein. Aap log thoda bahut samajhte ho, pura nahi samjhoge kyunki kuch kuch hota hai (this film is a very important milestone in our lives and in our hearts. You people understand this to some extent but you cannot understand it fully because there is something that happens).” He further added, "We make films, some get forgotten in time, some do very well at that time and some just don't do good at all. But this film (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) has stood the test of time. It has aged nearly as good as Karan has."
Shah Rukh Khan on his bond with Karan Johar:
SRK and Karan Johar share a very close bond with each-other and on the special occassion of Karan completing 25 years in the industry, he talked about their bond, he said, "Many think Karan is my friend. But it was his father Yash Johar was my friend. To me this film was important because Karan at that time was 23-24 years old and I have a son now Aryan, who is that old. Now when I look back upon it, I feel very happy, very proud as I launched a young son because I was a little more established than Karan was at that time."
This year has been very special for Shah Rukh Khan as he has given back-to-back block-buster movies like Pathan and Jawan. Further, in the event he spoke about his future plan regarding movies, he said, "Ab pata nahi love story karu ya nahi karu, ab Jawan bachcho ko karne do (now I don't know if I should still do a love story, let's leave them for younger actors).”
Many videos and photo's from the event have been surfacing online, fans are getting nostalgic and are showering their immense love on SRK, Rani and Karan.
