Los Angeles, Hollywood, California became the host city for the 97th Academy Awards on 3 EST (March 4 IST).

Both Best Actor and Best Actress awards went to Adrien Brody and Mikey Madison at the ceremony. Film Anora from Sean Baker emerged victorious as Best Film during the event.

A total of four movies competed for Oscars 2025 through the nominations, which included Emilia Perez and the Brutalist, along with two others named Anora.

The night started with Robert Downey Jr presenting the award for Best Supporting Actor.
