Oppenheimer Average Ticket Prices All Over India, IMAX Bookings

Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is set to release in India & worldwide on 21st July. The hype with the film is already at peak with the Nolan’s legendary filmmaking and the super clash with ‘Barbie.’

There are many people are saying that you should watch this film in a specific theatre for the best film experience we want you to know why is it matter:

If you’re in India and planning to watch this film, don't make a mistake to watch this movie in any random theatre. The normal theatres are going to play the movie in substandard 2K, and because of the irregular aspect ratio of 2.20:1 theatre might not even play it properly and you will have black bars on all four sides,

To avoid that a better option would be to watch this film in a premium large format theatre, which have taller screens which will give you a better experience with the 4K crisp laser projections. Some examples include PVR PXL branded theatre.

If you want to watch Oppenheimer; Nolan intended it to in IMAX 70 MM, well we don't have any of those in India till now but still you have 25+ digital and laser IMAX theatres in India. And the best part of IMAX is that you are going to get 20% more image with the 1.90:1 aspect ratio and the bass. We all know Nolan goes too heavy on the bass and low frequencies on his sound mixing and IMAX theatres have these huge subwoofers to support it.

The advance booking of Oppenheimer started 10 days ago and the film received a great response within a few hours after advance booking was made available. The Cillian Murphy starrer has booked over 90,000 tickets across 4 multiple chains including PVR, IMAX, INOX and Cinepolis; the data is just for the opening day.

The excitement for the film is unbelievable. Several shows over the first weekend, even those at odd hours like 3 am and midnight, have been rendered houseful. The tickets are priced majorly on the upper side and a little research tells us that the most expensive show of 'Oppenheimer' in India is being hosted in Mumbai itself.

The costliest 'Oppenheimer' ticket in the country is priced at a whopping Rs 2,450 and it is for the 11 pm show in PVR Icon, Pheonix Palladium, located in Mumbai's Lower Parel locality.
