The Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Marjaavaan had a good run despite the negative reviews from both critics and audience, at the box office. The masala entertainer, also starring Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet, collected a solid Rs 48.04 crore against a budget of Rs 50 crore (Production Cost: 40 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crore).
As per BARCIndia, Marjaavaan touched a massive 989 million views from 31 million viewers which was simply astonishing.Marjaavaan tells the story of Raghu and Zoya whose lives turns upside when a local gang lord enters their life. Marjaavaan is being backed by Nikhil Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Monisha Advani of Emmay Entertainment
Thoguh the Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon starrer Panipat suffered big time at the box office, the massive TV debut might bright some relief to the director Ashutosh Gowarikar.
Panipat collected Rs 33.87 crore with a huge budget of Rs 75 crore (Production Cost: 65 Crore & Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crore). Based on the third and last battle of Panipat between the Maratha warriors and Afghan King Ahmad Shah Abdali, Panipat opened to an eye-popping 719 million views from 27 million viewers when it made TV debut recently.
