Film City : Located in Goregaon, Film City is the largest film-studio in Mumbai which has been the prime location for several B-Town films. Many iconic films like DDLJ, 3 Idiots, Karz, Chandni, Bodyguard, Kalank etc have been shot inside the premises of the film-city. It’s lush green, has more than 30 indoor studios and is spread across 500 acres.
Yashraj Studios : The iconic Yashraj Studios were started by the legend Yash Chopra back in 2005 and is known to be one of the most technically advanced and progressive studio in Mumbai. Mostly all the YRF films are shot here and some of them include Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Ek Tha Tiger, Band Baaja Baraat, Thugs Of Hindostan etc. It even hosts all the screenings of YRF films and many big events for B-Town celebrities.
Mehboob Studios : Made in 1954, Mehboob Studio has been home for several iconic films like Mother India, Guide, Kaagaz Ke Phool etc. Even all the major Bollywood promotions and interviews are done here by the actors prior to their film’s releases. It is spread across 20,000 square yards and it is located at one of the prime locations of the city ie, Bandra and has a lot of history to it.
RK Studios : Made by the veteran Raj Kapoor, the film-studio was built way back in the 1950’s when Kapoor thought of shooting his films in an area owned by him. The studios have seen the day of the lights for films like Mera Naam Joker, Shri 420, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai etc. Ranbir Kapoor, who expressed sometime back that he wants to revive the legacy of RK Films & Studios, is keen on producing and shooting films back like the old days.
