1. Housefull 2 (2012)

Sequel to the blockbuster, Housefull, Housefull 2 was even bigger in terms of star cast, production values and budget. Panned by critics, Housefull 2 turned out to be a gold-digger collecting better than expected result with Rs 112 crore and became “Hit” at the box office, making it the first film of John Abraham

2. Race 2 (2013)

The respect and the appreciation which Race got when it was released in 2008, Race 2 destroyed it. With bigger budget and even bigger star cast, Race 2 was a total disappointment. However, it was able to touch 100 crore (Rs 101.45 crore) against a budget of Rs 94 crore.

3. Batla House (2019)

Thanks to solid promotion, astounding trailer and the release on the 15th August last year, Batla House opened to a fabulous response despite facing Akshay Kumar Mission Mangal. Directed by Nikhil Advani, John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House was just of 100 crore milestone with an amazing Rs 99.24 crore against a budget if Rs 75 crore.

4. Welcome Back (2015)

Sequel to the 2007’s blockbuster Welcome, Welcome Back was bigger in terms of budget, production values and star cast. The multi-starrer released in 2015, was directed by Anees Bazmee and received poor reviews as compared to the first part. However, since it was a popular franchise, the comedy drama turned out to be “Semi-Hit” at the box office, collecting Rs 96.55 crore.

5. Satyameva Jayate (2018)

Similar to the clash between Batla House and Mission Mangal on 2019 Independence Day, John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate fought with Akshay Kumar’s Gold on 2018 Independence Day. Both films went on to the record breaking opening and also became the highest grossing films of 2018. While Gold went to earn Rs 107.35 crores, Satyameva Jayate became the highest grossing film of John Abraham as a solo hero collecting Rs 90.39 crore that year.
