The story behind it was that tanrik fell in love with the beautiful princess of Bhangarh called Ratnavati and planned to use some magic tricks to seduce her. But she uncovered his plan and sentenced him to death. Before his death, he cursed the palace to doom and the town to be roofless and miserable forever. so villagers believe that anyone who goes into the fort after dark never comes back.

Dow hill located in West Bengal is believed to be haunted as the footsteps of spirits can be heard in the hallways. There have been countless murdered bodies found in the wood surrounding. Several locals and tourists had reported that they have seen a headless boy who later disappeared in the woods.
- Dumas Beach
This beach in Gujarat is known as haunted with with several mysteries. The beach used to be a Hindu cremation ground and many believe that the restless spirits call out to visitors taking midnight strolls and walking towards the sea to return back to the shore.
- Kuldhara Village
