Superstar Actor Tom Cruise doesn’t even have a script for his next film which will surely make it to the history books. The upcoming movie is to be entirely shot in space. Not only that, he also managed to convince Universal Pictures to shell out $200 million (nearly Rs 1500 crore) for its production rights.
There are reports all over media and publishing houses that Universal signed off on this particular big-budget project over a Zoom call. With Cruise involved in all this, writer-director Doug Liman, screenwriter, director and producer Christopher McQuarrie, and producer PJ van Sandwijk have got down to work.
There are also some reports that Elon Musk will also be involved in this project through his SpaceX firm.
Director McQuarrie will have a ground control role as story advisor and producer. Liman will be writing the script of the action-adventure film. All of Tom Cruise’s frequent collaborators will be having some or the other role in the movie. Needless to say, the movie is going to be groundbreaking in one form or the other.
Cruise is presently filming the seventh Mission Impossible film, which had been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Cruise will next be seen in Top Gun: Maverick whose shooting and release have also been delayed because of the pandemic outbreak.
