Though the Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi 3 became the best opening film of 2020 beating Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji, it was below the industry expectations due to the Corona Vrus scare which triggered at the time of the release. Due to the release of much awaited Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Radhika Madan and Deepak Dobriyal starrer Angrezi Medium, Baaghi 3 suffered at the ticket windows. Adding fuel to the fire was the COVID-19 impact which led to most of major cities shutting down cinema halls, bringing the second week collections to Rs 5.83 crore and overall collection to Rs 96.50 crore against a budget of Rs 100 crore.
