Roohi 1st Weekend Box Office Report – Crosses The Double Digit Mark

Jolly LLB (2013)

Jolly LLB was a rib-tickling comedy which was a satire on Indian Court process and judiciary. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB focused on our poor judiciary where a single case is bought at the hand of big goons who desperately try to save their kids brushing their mistakes as act of innocence. Hats off to Subhash Kapoor for fearlessly depicting these events with ease. Few acts were attention-seeking – the introduction court scene, the court fight scene between two music directors and the argument between Saurabh Shukla and Boman Irani will certainly bring down the house.

3 central characters – Arshad Warsi , Boman Irani and Saurabh Suhkla will drive you nuts with their admirable performances. Arshad Warsi not only emotes well in comic scenes but is commendable in essaying serious role as well. Boman Irani, as usual, was marvelous. Saurabh Shukla as judge was simply fantastic. He is sure to make you laugh with typical Delhi accent and comic timings and he won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. Jolly LLB turned out to be the surprise “Hit” of the year.

Roohi 3rd Box Office Report – Grows By More Than 30%

Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013)

Weekend Movie Recommendation – Colour Photo Adds Colour With Brilliant Story, Beautiful Music And Lively Performance

Beautifully shot in the city of Chandigarh imbibed by Punjabi culture, Mere Dad ki Maruti delivers wholesome fun-filled ride with routine song-dance. New time director, Ashima Chibber, does a fine job in creating a hell of a ride as Sameer finds different ways to save himself. This film will be more enjoyable if you are from North India as you can relate well with the culture and language. Screenplay will make sure you sit tight throughout the film and laugh until you cry out.

Performances by Saqeeb Saleem and Ram Kapoor drives the whole film. Their chemistry as father son is amazing and will surely go down well with audience. Mere Dad Ki Maruti turned out to be a “Break-Even” at the box office.
