Aamir Khan made a big announcement by putting himself into the shoes of Tom Hanks by remaking the Hollywood critical acclaimed film, Forrest Gump. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, Forrest Gump is one of the most respected film of Hollywood that was released in 1994 and won 6 Oscar Awards including Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Director. Aamir was always interested in doing the remake of Forrest Gump and even has acquired the rights to it. The film is titled Laal Singh Chaddha and it will be directed by Advait Chandan, who collaborated with Aamir Khan in the super-hit movie, Secret Superstar.

Laal Singh Chaddha was all slated to release in Christmas 2020 while the shooting is currently underway. However, as per the writer of the film, Atul Kulkarni, due to the Corona virus impact, the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer might be shifted to 2021 as the shooting and production will take place in Turkey as per the latest tweet from Aamir Khan’s fan club :-
