There were four significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Aap Kaa Suroor, Apne, Awarapan And Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. Let us check how the films fared at the box office.
Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001)
Bunch of stars coming together for a laugh-riot called Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega which turn out to be better than its trailer.
The Saif Ali Kha, Fardeen Khan, Aftab Shivdasani , Sonali Bendre, Twinkle Khanna and Johnny Lever starrer was already famous before its release thanks to foot-tapping song “Aslam Bhai” for which the music was provided by Vishal Bhardwaj.
Directed by E Niwas and produced by Ram Gopal Varma, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega collected Rs 5.56 crores against a budget of Rs 5.75 crores, making it a decent earner at the box office.

When two generations of Deol family come together, you expect audience get excited to watch the film on the big screen. Directed by Anil Sharma, the Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol starrer opened to rave response. Also starring Shilpa Shetty and Katrina Kaif in key roles, Apne collected Rs 22.06 crore against a budget of Rs 20 crore, turning out to be profitable for its makers.
Directed by Mohit Suri, Awarapan had a great performance, astounding music and good storyline but got salvaged by clash at the box office with Apne and Aap Ka Suroor.
The Emraan Hashmi and Shriya Sharan starrer could collect only Rs 7.8 crore against a budget of Rs 18 crore, turning out to be “Flop” at the box office.
Aap Ka Suroor (2007)
Probably the most popular among the Apne and Awarapan releases, Himesh Reshamiya and Hansika Motwani starrer Aap Ka Suroor opened to fabulous response. Thanks to its chart bursting music, Aap Ka Suroor was a profit earner at the box office, collecting Rs 12.45 crore against a budget of Rs 9 crore.
