There were three significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Ishaqzaade and multi-starrer Life In A Metro. Let us check how the films fared at the box office.
Meghna Gulzar goes one step ahead after her electrifying direction in Talwar and comes up with a admiring tale of guts and valor with Raazi. Alia Bhatt as a bold RAW agent, Sehmat Khan, was simply mind-blowing and made it a definite watch. Raazi turned out to be the biggest grosser for Alia Bhatt in solo, collecting a solid Rs 123.10 crores against a budget of Rs 38 crores.
Godzilla Vs Kong slowed down on the weekdays but held well to collect $60 million which was good enough to beat the Christopher Nolan directed Tenet which minted $58.5 million in its lifetime collection at the US box office.
Ishaqzaade was an opportunity gone miss because of the weak direction and poor script. The only silver lining was stupendous performance by new comers Arjun Kapoor and Parineeta Chopra along with mind-blowing music by Amit Trivedi helped the movie to sustain at the box office collecting a solid Rs 47 crores (approx) against a budget of Rs 19 crores.
