There were three significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Emraan Hashmi, Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta starrer Raaz 3, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chaudhary, Vijay Raaz and Javed Jafri starrer Dhamaal and Anil Kapoor, Amrish Puri and Rani Mukherjee starrer Nayak. Raaz 3 (2012)
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Raaz 3 was the continuation of a hit “Raaz” franchise and the audience were already waiting eagerly for the movie thanks to the catchy promotion, sleazy sex scenes, hit songs and star cast. Though panned by critics, Raaz 3 was one of the biggest hit of 2012, collecting Rs 68 crore against a budget of Rs 31 crore.

4 friends and 1 cop trying to steal the money hidden somewhere at Sebastian garden in Goa definitely called for a hilarious ride. Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal was turned out to “Hit” at the box office, thanks to its well-timed comic scenes. Dhamaal collected Rs 33 crore against a budget of Rs 19 crore.
South ace director Shankar, who has made marvelous films like Gentleman, Kadhalan and Indian, ventured into Bollywood with Nayak. A remake of his own movie in Tamil, Nayak met with critical appreciation but could not do much at the box office, minting just Rs 11 crore against a budget of Rs 21.75 crore.
