It’s been almost months since Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, but still, his name is remembered and now the proposal has been put forward that a National film award should be named after SSR, as a tribute to the actor.

BJP’s reports read that “yes, they are planning to instate a national film award named after Sushant Singh Rajput. The proposal has been put forth. But then as we all know bureaucracy and politics are slow movers. It’s taking time to push the idea forward. But we will get there, for sure.”

Several tributes have been given to the late actor, by family including his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, who performed a medley of Sushant’s song at an award function.

Fans have donated things, renamed a road under his name in Purnea, Bihar. SSR’s family opened a foundation in his name for the aspiring new talents.

On his first birthday after his demise, Shweta Singh Kirti announced a special scholarship in his memory at UC Berkeley for the physics students.
