Sony Pictures and Nintendo unveil the first look of live-action The Legend of Zelda, releases 7th May 2027

The first official images from the live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda are out now, giving fans, their first look at Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. The photos, show the young heroes standing in a lush green field, with Zelda wielding her signature bow and arrow and both actors sporting detailed costumes complete with Hylian ears, instantly creating excitement across the fans.

Based on one of the most beloved video game franchises of all time, the film brings the classic tale of courage, magic and destiny into a live action cinematic film.

Directed by Wes Ball, known for 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' and 'The Maze Runner', the live-action Zelda promises a sweeping adventure blending fantasy, emotion, and epic visual storytelling. 

Nintendo creator and legend Shigeru Miyamoto, who is producing the film, announced the casting earlier this year, sharing his excitement to see Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth bring Zelda and Link to life for the new generation.

With its rich legacy, beloved characters, and powerful emotional themes, the live-action Legend of Zelda is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated fantasy films of the decade.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India and Nintendo will release The Legend of Zelda in cinemas on 7th May, 2027.
